Homerule: charging requires that the model moves at least three squares in a straight line, without entering in a square occupied by another model.

You know that's a really good idea Sergio. I thought about having 'kill zones' like Advanced HQ, but decided it made the rules a little clunky. However the convention that a charging model cannot move past enemy models (unless the enemies are already in melee?) is a simple, but effective one. Obviously Stealth models could ignore this rule... I may well work this into the finished version. Cheers!

Three more homerules I'm using in my current Facebook game:
- Flanking = charging : if two models are on the opposing squares of an enemy, both get +1 to their melee rolls.
- "Blue fire" (friendly fire) : Rangers were not a very popular class so I let doing range attacks into a melee involving allies. Then I roll a dice. In a even number hits a random ally instead of the enemy.
- Pushing : an attacking model that gest a result of 'shaken' can, if the so desires, push the enemy model one square backwards. They can even reveal new board pieces in this way (not that it is a very wise choice, but...).

Funnily enough, between version 2.5 and .8 I did play around with the idea that if an enemy is shaken in melee the attacker can instead convert this result into a 'push-back.' This kind of morphed into the 'repulse' rule that successful defenders can make against attackers.
The blue fire rules are a great and fun addition! I can imagine all manner of arguments between players when a shot goes awry! Brilliant.
These are some flavoursome house-rules and if a CC 'newsletter' ever becomes a reality (it will largely be dependent on the success of this forum) I would love to include them, giving full credit to you of course!
How is your FB game going, incidentally?

How is your FB game going, incidentally? Well, things are just warming up for the party. Their Lord, the Baron Chucrut ("Sauerkraut"), sent them to kick the ass of a tribe of 'trappers' (humanoids akin to kobolds = weakling goblins with BRA 1 and a nasty love for elaborated traps) that have invaded a mine. They've played several exploration turns to grasp the mechanics and a short battle against a centipede (cave slug). Now, they've just met their second encounter so far: "lizards of the deeps" (SPE6 BRA5 ACC- MEL2 FOR2 VIT2 ~ Beast), the housepets of the trappers. Currently, half the party has played their encounter turn but they have not been too lucky with the rolls... (Sorry in advance, I'm -well, really I *was*- mainly a role-player, not a painter or a mini collector. My minis are dull pre-prepainted models of D&D)

That looks great! And no need to apologise about the miniatures: pre-paints are fine and the main thing with CC is to have a good time.
Please let me know how the crawl progresses!
